Diamond pendants, halo designs, station chains and fine gold — set and strung at our bench in La Jolla. Because we make rather than resell, a pendant can be built around any stone you choose, or any stone you already own.
The most common piece we make here isn't from the case at all: it's a diamond from an old ring or a single earring, reborn as a pendant that gets worn every day.
What chain length should I choose?
A 16-inch chain sits at the collarbone, an 18-inch just below it — the most versatile choice, and where most pendants live. We'll try lengths on you in the showroom.
Can you turn my stone into a pendant?
Yes — it's one of our favorite projects. Bring the stone or the piece it's in, and we'll design the pendant around it.
Can you repair or shorten a chain I already own?
Yes, in-house — chain repair, shortening and clasp replacement are everyday work at our bench.
Pendants, chains and lengths
A pendant and its chain are two decisions, and they are often made together too quickly. Chain length changes where a pendant sits and therefore what it reads as — the same pendant is a different piece at sixteen inches than at twenty-four — and the chain also has to be substantial enough to carry the weight without wearing through at the bail.
We will show a pendant on more than one length before you settle, and we can shorten, lengthen or replace a chain at the bench. Restringing pearls and repairing worn bails are ordinary work here, on pieces bought anywhere.
