Tiffany & CO Fine Jewelry

At Bert Levi Family Jewelers, we’ve spent a great deal of time educating our customers about the dangers of spending too much for jewelry. In fact, the main reason we design and manufacture all our own jewelry is because we think the big names and big designers charge a great deal of money just for a name. However, there’s one very important exception to that rule, and Tiffany & Co is that exception.

You see, Tiffany & Co is very important to the history of the modern jewelry industry and to the development of standards that protect the substantial investment people make in engagement rings, fine jewelry, silver, diamonds, and more. As such, this historical jewelry company gets our vote of confidence and we gladly stock pre-owned Tiffany & Co. jewelry in our showroom. What makes Tiffany & Co so special? To us, the brand is special because of its history, its integrity, and its quality.

Tiffany & Co. was founded more than one-hundred and fifty years ago, and their commitment to quality began right in the beginning. There are certain things you take for granted in a retail environment that Tiffany started. For example, did you know Tiffany & Co was the first major retail store to actually put price tags on items? Prior to that, a customer had to negotiate just about everything directly with an employee. It’s no wonder Tiffany grew as it did. Over the course of their history, Tiffany became famous for jewelry, art, gold, diamonds, and even the famous Tiffany lamps. Their commitment to beauty and quality made the name so popular that when Truman Capote wrote Breakfast at Tiffany’s, everyone immediately recognized the brand.

We appreciate their integrity, and it can be seen in a number of ways. Most importantly, though, it was Tiffany & Co that created the first real standards for diamonds and other gems. While there were a number of jewelers who could determine the quality of a particular diamond, two jewelers in different areas might have completely different ways to determine the quality. One jeweler might use one system to weigh a diamond while another might use an entirely different system. It was a Tiffany & Co gemologist who developed the standard metric rate for a carat so that everyone could be on the same page. That made it possible for a jeweler in France to interact with a jeweler in New York to send diamonds to London. This standard and others like it revolutionized the jewelry trade because it added accountability and a shared language for jewelers, customers, and government. In fact, the now accepted GIA Certified standards came about because of the earlier work Tiffany & Co developed. To us, making sure customers understand what they’re buying is a cornerstone of honest business.

Tiffany & Co makes some of the finest jewelry you’ll ever see, and when that is added to their history and integrity; they become a big brand we can recommend. We have a great many pre-owned Tiffany & Co items in stock. When you’re in the market for fine jewelry and you’d like to be able to get it at wonderful prices, come see us.
